UPDATE ON FLU VACCINATION AND COVID BOOSTER CLINICS

As you may be aware, Covid Booster vaccinations are now being rolled out for over 50’s and will be due 6 months after receiving the 2^nd dose.   

We will be prioritising the over 65 and those with underlying health conditions.

We have also been advised of a short delay in receiving the flu vaccinations.

Therefore, we are planning where possible, to offer these vaccines together – we will send out further updates once we have more information.

NHS Patients, staff and visitors must continue to wear face coverings in healthcare settings

 15 July 2021 Coronavirus

England’s Chief Nurse has today reminded the public that everyone accessing or visiting healthcare settings must continue to wear a face covering and follow social distancing rules.

Covid restrictions will end in many settings in England from Monday.

However, Public Health England’s infection prevention control guidelines and hospital visiting guidance are set to remain in place for all staff and visitors.

That means NHS visitor guidance will stay in place across all health services including hospitals, GP practices, dental practices, optometrists and pharmacies to ensure patients and staff are protected.

Staff, patients and visitors will also be expected to continue to follow social distancing rules when visiting any care setting as well as using face coverings, mask and other personal protection equipment.

The NHS will continue to support staff in ensuring that the guidance is followed in all healthcare settings.

We’ve introduced an online consultation service so you don’t always need to come into the practice to get our medical expertise. Why not save time and try our new online service?
You can input your symptoms online and will receive a response from the practice - usually that day, if a request is received within the Online Consultation daily request times.  If a request is received after 1.00 pm it will be dealt with the following day. 

You will also have access to reliable and trustworthy self-help generic information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week that may help you to avoid an appointment altogether. You can also use the system to request test results, sick notes, referral letters and medical reports.

Kirton Lindsey & Scotter Surgery aims to provide high quality healthcare to patients in its area. Our doctors, nurses and support staff are dedicated to offering a professional service and this surgery website will help us to keep all our patients up to date with news and information about our practice.

We offer a full general practice service and run specialist clinics for diabetics and asthma sufferers and for all forms of contraception.  We also carry out minor surgery and offer an on-site dispensing service for patients that live more than a mile away from a chemist.

At Kirton Lindsey & Scotter Surgeries, we aim to treat all our patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence. We feel it is important you know who you are speaking to, so our practice staff wear a name badge and identify themselves on the telephone.

Patients With Particular Needs

Our practices are accommodated in a single storey building and is accessible to patients using a wheelchair.  We also have a parking space outside the surgery which is reserved for patients displaying a disabled sticker.
